In partnership with National University campuses in Laguna, Dasmariñas, and Lipa, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) launched a logo design contest that drew 79 student teams—nearly 400 young creatives. Their mission: design a symbol that inspires a future of clean air, resilient communities, and a fair, net-zero Philippines.
The winning logo, “Pusong Hero for Net Zero,” created by students from NU Lipa—Allen Christian Salvatierra, Maria Antonilla Camacho, Alexis Dequino, Jamaica Lopez, and Matthew Sarmiento—is a heart-shaped emblem that puts empathy at the center of climate action. Its colors reflect the Philippine flag and the three stars represent Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao uniting the archipelago. Inside the heart, iconic imagery tells a powerful story: the Bangui Wind Farm and Bohol’s Chocolate Hills, bayanihan scenes, thriving farms, and vibrant coral reefs—all symbols of what we must protect and sustain.
United by heart, driven by hope, and rooted in the strength of our land, Pusong Hero for Net Zero is the youth’s powerful call for CLIMATE HEROES to rise—urging us all to take urgent action and safeguard the planet they are set to inherit.
What’s Next? The unveiling of the new Race to Net Zero Philippines emblem signals the formal launch of our drive to reach Net Zero by 2030. With climate impacts accelerating worldwide, the Philippines must act swiftly and decisively. RTNZ will spark that urgency—identifying roadblocks, unlocking solutions, and rallying every sector behind one goal. Our campaign aligns with the UN-backed Race to Zero, the largest global coalition of non-state actors—businesses, cities, regions, investors, universities, and healthcare systems—committed to halving emissions by 2030 and creating a healthier, fairer, zero-carbon world.
