Projects

Each project tackles a different part of the journey to a net-zero Philippines.

Decarbonization

Drives decarbonization across businesses, industries, and communities by helping organizations develop decarbonization frameworks, set science-based targets, reduce emissions, and turn net-zero commitments into action. Through the global Race to Zero campaign, RTNZ connects local climate action with the broader transition toward a net-zero economy.

Clean Energy Procurement

Supports Philippine businesses in transitioning to clean energy by helping navigate available clean energy procurement pathways, such as the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP), Retail Aggregation Program (RAP), and other corporate renewable energy solutions. RTNZ seeks to accelerate corporate demand for clean energy, address procurement barriers, and strengthen the private sector’s role.

Climate Trade

Prepares businesses for evolving European Union climate and trade requirements, including the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), and Digital Product Passports (DPP). RTNZ advances credible emissions data, technical capacity, and cross-sector collaboration to enhance the country’s competitiveness in global markets.

Circular Economy

Promotes circular economy practices among businesses through resource efficiency, waste reduction, sustainable materials, and circular business models. RTNZ connects industry and key stakeholders to turn circularity into practical action and create long-term environmental and business value.

Cities Race to Zero

Supports cities and local governments in aligning existing sustainability programs with the Race to Zero framework. RTNZ helps identify priority climate actions and connects cities with tools, guidance, and partners for planning and implementation. Cities Race to Zero also supports science-based reporting to advance measurable climate action and stronger local resilience.

SME Climate Hub

Builds the capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises to measure and reduce emissions across their operations and supply chains. Through workshops, practical guidance, and peer learning, RTNZ helps SMEs understand buyer expectations, explore sustainable finance options, and identify opportunities for low-carbon products and practices that strengthen their competitiveness.

Community Race to Zero

Encourages participation in climate action among youth, women, LGBTQ+ people, and other communities. Through community activities and university partnerships, RTNZ makes net-zero knowledge more accessible and creates opportunities for diverse groups to help shape an inclusive transition.

Keep up with the Race.
