ECCP Press Briefing — Race to Zero Accelerator

The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), together with Spring Rain Global, ASSIST, and the Climate Change Commission, formally launched the Philippines’ first official Race to Zero Accelerator before more than 20 journalists from television, print, and online outlets.

The media launch introduced Race to Zero, a UN-backed global campaign committed to halving global emissions by 2030 and achieving net zero by 2050, and highlighted opportunities for climate action across Philippine sectors.

As the country’s Accelerator, ECCP outlined its role in advancing the campaign’s five Ps—Pledge, Plan, Proceed, Publish, and Persuade—and supporting sector breakthroughs by connecting businesses, LGUs, and civil society groups with science-based climate solutions through public–private collaboration.
