ECCP Press Briefing — Race to Zero Accelerator
ECCP together with Spring Rain Global, ASSIST, and the Climate Change Commission—formally launched the Philippines’ first official Race to Zero Accelerator before 20-plus journalists from television, print, and online outlets. The media rollout elevated national awareness of Race to Zero, a UN-backed coalition of more than 14,500 non-state actors committed to halving global emissions by 2030 and achieving net-zero by 2050.
As the country’s Accelerator, ECCP will advance the campaign’s five Ps—Pledge, Plan, Proceed, Publish, and Persuade—and spur sector breakthroughs by linking businesses, LGUs, and civil-society groups to science-based climate solutions through strong public-private collaboration.
