21 October 2026, Makati City - Race to Net Zero Philippines (RtNZ PH) participated in the 3rd Philippines Future Energy and Grid Summit 2026, held on 14–15 October 2026 at Hilton Manila Newport Hotel.
Representing RtNZ PH, Mr. Paulo Burro, Senior Strategy Consultant, joined the panel discussion on Corporate PPAs, Renewable Energy Procurement and Long-Term Sustainability in the Philippines. The session focused on corporate energy strategies, renewable energy investment and sustainable financing opportunities.
Held under the theme “Towards a Pragmatic Energy Mix of the Future,” the summit brought together stakeholders from across the energy sector. Its program covered renewable energy development, power grids, energy storage, financing and the changing electricity needs of businesses.

“The future of the energy sector in the Philippines hinges on sustaining the DOE’s renewable energy initiatives beyond the current administration and further refining existing policies to support this momentum,” Mr. Burro said, highlighting the importance of maintaining policy momentum to support the country’s energy transition.
His remarks underscored the role of policy continuity and improvement in supporting long-term renewable energy development. For businesses, a clear and consistent policy environment can help guide electricity procurement and investment decisions.
RtNZ PH’s participation formed part of its continuing engagement in conversations on energy transition and the Philippines’ transition towards a net-zero future.
