Accelerating Supply-Chain Decarbonization in the Philippines

More than 80 executives from the textile, food-and-beverage, and allied manufacturing sectors gathered on 13 February 2024 at Richmonde Hotel Ortigas for “Accelerating Supply-Chain Decarbonization in the Philippines,” a workshop supported by ECCP and Race to Net Zero Philippines Inc.
The half-day session equipped local suppliers—many serving global brands—with the know-how to measure greenhouse-gas emissions, access sustainable-finance options, and apply technical best practices for cutting carbon across their operations. Participants also reviewed international programs and Philippine case studies, fostering peer learning and opening new partnership channels for low-emission product development.
Organizers noted that pressure is mounting on export-oriented firms to align with science-based targets. “The ability to track and reduce supply-chain emissions is becoming a baseline requirement in global procurement,” AENZ said, adding that the workshop’s practical tools will help Filipino companies stay competitive as customers demand verifiable climate performance.
